This maintenance study presents comprehensive maintenance information and benchmarking data reported by 135 surveyed water, wastewater and industrial treatment facilities.  This reports provides a history and background of pH analyzers and discusses the principles of how pH probes  function. 

This report provides the end-user with reported longevity of instrument's make and models in-use; installation, calibration and maintenance requirements; and reported performance, accuracy and maintenance costs. This study examines the use of various analyzer technologies, reports calibration and maintenance practices, and provides treatment plant evaluations of instrument effectiveness and estimated service costs.  Benchmarking data provided in this report by surveyed treatment facilities form a basis of knowledge to assist in understanding the advantages and limitations of analyzer technologies.
