Gordon Pederson of Gulf Coast Waste Disposal Authority is Elected to ITA's Board

Behind the scenes of ITA and its projects are a group of members who volunteer their time to help ITA continue to grow and reach its goals. ITA Board of Directors not only address issues of the everyday operations of our volunteer non-profit technical association but also focus their attention to addressing membership needs by assisting ITA members and other industry professionals resolve operations, instrumentation and control issues.

Ricky Clifton Passes Board of Directors Tradition to Fellow Associate

ITA Board Member Ricky Clifton, General Manager of Gulf Coast Waste Disposal Authority (GCWDA) in Houston, Texas has served on ITA’s Board since 2009.  With increasing job responsibilities and preparing for the future Ricky is passing the tradition of serving on ITA's Board to Gordon Pederson, Manager of Facility Services at GCWDA (pictured right).  Gordon Pederson was officially elected onto ITA's Board during ITA's last Board meeting in April 2013.

 ITA would like to acknowledge Ricky Clifton and thank him for his time, dedication and support of ITA. It is the volunteer efforts of ITA members who provide a contribution to the industry and assist others through their participation. 


Meet Gordon Pederson: ITA Board Member


Gordon Wayne Pederson Jr. is the Manager of Facility Services for Gulf Coast Waste Disposal Authority.  As Senior Manager, Gordon has the responsibility to oversee the Compliance, Technical Services, and Safety divisions as well as the Odessa South Wastewater Treatment Facility and Municipal Operations. 

Municipal Wastewater Operations include a 9.25 MGD Regional Wastewater Treatment Plant as well as contract operations of several small Wastewater Treatment Plants.  The Odessa South Wastewater Facility is a regional industrial wastewater treatment plant located in Odessa Texas.   

Gordon is past president of the Texas Association of Clean Water Agencies.  He held the position of Secretary, and then Vice President prior to serving as President of the organization.
   
Gordon also serves on several local committees in the Houston-Galveston area including the Galena Park – Jacinto City Community-Industry Partnership, and the Water and Sediment subcommittee of the Galveston Bay Estuary Program.    Gordon graduated Texas A&M with a B.S. degree in psychology.
